LACADA Support Groups

Domestic Violence Support Group

Lacada's Domestic Violence Support Groups are open groups for survivors of domestic violence to talk about their individual situations in a safe environment.  The support groups are led by one of Lacada's advocates and discuss topics such as the definition of domestic violence, the dynamics of domestic violence, safety planning, self-esteem, and healing.

When: Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm

Youth Support Group

Lacada's Youth Support Group is geared toward school age children who have experienced Domestic Violence.  The goal of the group is to promote an understanding for the children that they are not to blame for the violence.  During group some things that may be discussed are emotions, communication, and healthy relationships.

When: Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm

Sexual Assault Support Group

Lacada's Sexual Assault Support Group is an open group for survivors of sexual assault.  The support group is facilitated by a Lacada advocate and provides a safe environment for survivors to learn, share, and heal.  Some topics discussed in the group include understanding trauma, identifying coping mechanisms, safety, healthy relationships, and healing.

When: Tuesdays 6pm-7:30pm
